Hi I’m Matt Reed, the commercial photographer behind Perth Product Photography.

Sure, I love photography… but I really love business.

Around 10 years ago, I started a business called Didgeridoo Breath in Fremantle – a retail store with an e-commerce website (www.didgeridoobreath.com). So out came the camera and I started photographing the products to put on the website to sell. Well I soon appreciated there is quite a knack to making things look good!

So the commercial photography journey began.

Didgeridoo Breath is a market leader in its industry with loyal customers around the globe. This business was a fantastic learning and testing ground to see what worked in the way of imagery – what photos helped to build a stronger business, both in the “real world” and online.

Over the years, photography took up more and more of my time until I chose to make commercial photography my full focus.

So now I work with many clients across a great spread of industries. In any one week I might be photographing corporate headshots for an annual report, hand made jewellery for an advertising campaign, a newly completed construction project or piece of mining equipment, and some interior photos of a retail store to use for their marketing and promotion.

The projects are always different, the goal always the same…. to capture images that sell your business.

The one thing that gives me more satisfaction than taking an outstanding photo… is seeing the benefit that photo brings to my clients business.

AIPP stands for Australian Institute of Professional Photography and is Australia’s leading membership body for the photography community.

AIPP is committed to maintaining a benchmark in professional photography, to give you assurance that your chosen photographer is a professional and skilled in the art of photography.

An Accredited Professional Photographer is…

• Assessed and Proven – Accredited members are judged by an assessment panel to ensure that each accredited member achieves and maintains an expected level of craftsmanship
• Professional – operates a registered business
• Professional – has liability insurance, as appropriate to their business
• Professional – agrees to follow the AIPP Code of Ethics and AIPP Terms and Conditions of Membership
• Professional – agrees to abide by the AIPP Accredited Membership Business Requirements
